Allyson Camitta, aka Shallowhalo, is a Brooklyn-based DJ, musician, and performance artist known for blending synth pop, Italo disco, post-punk, electroclash, and emotionally charged club music into cinematic late-night sets. Drawing inspiration from downtown New York nightlife, David Lynch dream logic, 80s New Romanticism, and contemporary underground pop, Shallowhalo creates a world that feels both glamorous and uncanny, equal parts dance floor and art piece.
As one half of the party series We Take Manhattan, she has become a recognizable presence across NYC nightlife, DJing everywhere from sold-out club shows to fashion events and iconic downtown parties. Recent appearances include sold-out performances at Bowery Ballroom and Nightclub 101 alongside artists including Gelli Haha and Chromeo.
Her sets move fluidly between hypnotic synth textures, sleazy electro, indie dance, forgotten bloghouse gems, dreamy pop edits, and high-energy left-field club tracks - balancing humor, sensuality, nostalgia, and tension with a strong instinct for atmosphere and narrative.
Beyond DJing, Shallowhalo is currently developing original music, visual work, and performance-based projects exploring identity, fantasy, internet culture, and emotional excess.
